講師：永田由利子（オーストラリアクイーンズランド大学言語文化研究学科客員研究員）
概要：【オーストラリア・クイーンズランドからの報告】トレス海峡に位置する木曜島には多くの日本人真珠貝出稼ぎ労働者が渡り、自ずと彼らを支える商人の来島で活気ある日本人コミュニティーが出来ていきました。この講座では、このコミュニティーの足跡に光を当てます。特に1941年12月、日本の参戦により日本人は全員敵国人として抑留され、オーストラリア本土の収容所に送られました。戦後、島に戻れた日本人はごくわずか。この講座では、聞き取りができた抑留体験者の言葉に注目します。
