概要：インドネシアとオーストラリア、そして日本をつなぐ海域には、歴史的にさまざまな人びとの越境の軌跡やドラマが存在しています（参考：『海境を越える人びと　真珠とナマコとアラフラ海』村井吉敬・内海愛子・飯笹佐代子 編著・コモンズ刊）。国家の周辺としての海域に光を当てることで何が見えてくるのか。この回では、中央アジアや中東を逃れ、インドネシア人の漁船に乗ってオーストラリア領土を目指す庇護希望者たちに注目します。
