概要：1970年代、再開発の波に追いやられた都会貧民層の怒りと悲しみを描いた『こびとが打ち上げた小さなボール』（日本語版は、斎藤麻理子訳、河出書房新社）。1978年に出版され、一時禁書にもなっていたにもかかわらず、320刷を重ね「国民小説」とも呼ばれたこの作品の作家、趙世熙さんが、昨年12月、享年80歳で亡くなりました。第2回は、故人の過去のインタビューを交え報じたニュースを取り上げます。
