概要：2023年3月、石垣島に陸上自衛隊の駐屯地が開設された。しかし、沖縄における陸上自衛隊の増強は、これで終わりではない。一方、沖縄の米海兵隊は、ＥＡＢＯ(遠征前方基地作戦)と呼ばれる構想に基づいて、有事には先島諸島に展開する。つまり、台湾有事が沖縄に波及した場合、南西諸島防衛は日米共同作戦になるわけだ。それはどのような作戦なのであろうか。法的、政治的に実現可能な作戦なのか。先島諸島の住民は保護されるのか。リアルな現実を解説する。
