◆第3回フィリピンの米軍基地と日米比防衛協力

概要：反米・反基地運動の高揚により、1991年にフィリピンの米軍基地は撤去された。しかし、その後も米比両軍の共同演習は継続され、米軍特殊部隊はミンダナオ島に駐留していた。2016年には米比両国の間で、防衛協力強化協定が締結され、米軍が五つのフィリピン軍基地を使用できることになった。さらに、2023年4月、米軍が使用できるフィリピン軍の基地は４か所増え、９か所になった。自衛隊とフィリピン軍の防衛協力も進んでいる。軍事面から、フィリピンと日米の関係を解説する。
