◆第3回暫行懲治叛徒法運用の全開（1936～1940年）

概要：軍人としては際立っていたわけではない東条英機が1940年代に独裁的な権力をふるう転機となったのは、1935年に関東憲兵隊司令官に就任したことにあります。関東憲兵隊に全満憲警の統制権限を集中させ（警務統制委員会の設置）、思想的工作に重点をおき、暫行懲治叛徒法を駆使して反満抗日運動の地下組織などの摘発に奔走しました。叛徒法の全開を可能にしたのは、並行して「満洲国」思想司法体制を整備確立したからです。日本国内の思想検事らが大量に出向し、「文化討伐」・「司法討伐」を掲げて反満抗日運動を抑え込んでいきました。
