概要：強権体制の東独国家では、平和主義は否定的に評価されていたため、平和運動は、比較的自由な言論空間を提供していたキリスト教会内部で発展しました。欧州核戦争の危機の中で、「剣を鋤に」、「武器なしに平和を創る」をスローガンに展開した東独の平和運動は、1989年の「平和革命」、そして翌年の「ドイツ統一」の導火線となりました。
