概要：ナチス独裁までの時期、ドイツには平和主義の思想と運動の伝統がありました。ブルジョワ的な平和運動と社会主義的な平和運動に大別できますが、第一次世界大戦を阻止することはできませんでした。ヴァイマル共和国時代には、「もう戦争はこりごりだ」とさまざまな取り組みがありましたが、それもナチ暴力支配によって命脈を絶たれました。
