概要：植民地支配の合法、不法をめぐって対立し、また、植民地支配下で起きた問題をどう清算、解決するかについても折り合わず葛藤を繰り返してきた日韓が、米国の圧力・仲介によってその対立・葛藤を収めるべく「政治合意」を重ねた歴史、1965年－2015年－2023年を振り返りつつ、日本の植民地主義清算の現在地を整理する。
