概要：鉄道員の息子として生まれ、日本交通公社中部支部執行委員に就任した背景。「単組時代」から「観光労連の 9 年間」の経験、観光労連の産別化に決定的な影響を与えた「飛騨川バス転落事故」、「衝撃的だった芝公園の大集会（74 春闘）」等の背景など、「総評全国オルグ時代」の経験を述べる。「社会党と連帯する会・中央労組会議時代」（ 1992 年 10 月～99 年 5 月）など、 85 歳の身になって、中部支部執行委員就任以来の人生を振り返っていく。「畢竟偶然が 私の人生を決めた」
