概要：メディア運動はなぜ必要なのか。独立メディア、市民メディア、オルタナティブメディアの違いとはなにか。メディアを取り巻く力学関係を分析し、民主主義の拡大、権利拡大の文脈でメディア運動を把握する。また、韓国メディア運動の歴史から民主主義運動の歴史を再解釈する。「パブリックアクセス」権利が変えてきた市民社会とメディアの関係から市民メディア運動の課題と展望を模索する。
