◆第1回帝国陸海軍の戦後史① 敗戦と武装解除

講師：山縣大樹（国立公文書館　公文書専門員）
概要：終戦後、陸海軍省をはじめとする軍事機構は廃止され、職員や部隊の人員、及び彼らが保有する武器や軍需品は、GHQの管理下で処分された。しかし、敗戦処理や残務整理を遂行する名目で、軍事機構の一部は「復員組織」（現：厚生労働省社会・援護局）に改組されて戦後長らく存続し続け、勤務した職員はかつての「旧軍エリート」（終戦時、佐官級以上の高級軍人）たちだった。復員組織職員の動向や役割の検討を通じて、彼らの専門性や有用性が占領統治に資するとしてGHQに重宝され、敗戦後も中央官庁の一角に相当数の旧軍エリートが残されていく様相や構造的背景を分析する。
