◆第4回 NHKスペシャル「埋もれたエイズ報告～血液製剤に何が起こっていたのか～」（1994年）

開催日：2023年12月12日（火）19:00-21:00　
講師：桜井均（映像ジャーナリスト・元ＮＨＫディレクター／プロデューサー）
概要：1983年3月当時、日本の血友病患者は、アメリカ由来の血液凝固因子製剤の自家注射が認可され、保険適用が認められた。血友病の「福音」と受け止められていた。しかし、輸入血液製剤のなかにアメリカのHIV患者の血液が混入していたのである。83年5月、厚生省は突然のように第一回エイズ研究会を立ち上げた。そのとき座長の帝京大学・安部武は、自分の患者のなかにエイズ患者がいると主張したが、会議でもみ消されてしまった。何があったのか。また、アメリカで急きょ加熱製剤が認可されたのに、なぜ日本は非加熱を輸入し続けたのか。この放送は、薬害エイズ裁判の裁判長の判断で「検証物」として採用され、法廷で視聴され、和解案の骨子となった。
