◆第4回琉球民族は国連機関をどう利用してきたか

開催日：2023年12月23日（土）10:00-12:00　
講師：親川裕子（非常勤講師）
概要：1990年代後半から琉球民族による国連機関を活用する活動が始まった。先住民作業部会や各種条約機関、*PFII、EMRIPや人権理事会などあらゆる機関に対し、アプローチを試みてきた。様々な団体や個人が琉球における人権問題を国際人権法に照らして考え、行動してきたことの意味、そして先住民族とは何か、自己決定権とは―、実践者の立場から今後の可能性を考えるため、これまでを振り返りながら現在地を確認したい。また2024年に日本審査が待っている女性差別撤廃委員会についても触れたい。（*PFII:先住民族問題に関する常設フォーラム,EMRIP:先住民族の権利に関する専門家機構）
