概要：１９９７年９月、新日鉄と遺族は和解解決する。一人あたり２００万円の慰霊金を会社は支払ったが、けっして金銭解決だけが和解の内容ではなかった。死亡の事実の認定、釜石での会社主催の慰霊祭など多様な和解の側面から戦後補償問題解決の可能性、発展性を考える。会社側はどうコメントしたか。この和解を遺族はどう受け止めたか。メディアはどう報道したか。当時の映像資料等を見ながら振り返る。
