概要：遺族から裁判を起こされた新日鉄。裁判では「別会社」を主張しつつ、遺骨の調査は行うと答弁。本社の社員を釜石に送り、寺院の過去帳調査などを行う。その調査にはＮＨＫが同行取材し、１９９６年８月にＮＨＫスペシャル「５１年目の戦争責任　強制連行と日本企業」として放映される。会社の担当者は何を語ったか。その後、１９９７年には原告と会社の代理人による韓国での生存者からの共同調査も実現した。解決の土台はどう形成されたのか。
