概要：現代の死刑廃止の潮流に対して、キリスト教は重要な影響を及ぼしてきました。しかし、今日なおキリスト教会の主流に根強い「贖罪論」、イエスの十字架刑によって人類の罪が贖われたという思想には、死刑の論理があるのではないでしょうか。講師の問題意識を明らかにします。
