概要：日本国憲法には、国際主義や普遍主義の前文があるが、憲法は「国民」に権利や義務を与えており、在日外国人には高い壁がある。他方で、憲法では「両性の平等」が認められているが、社会的につくられた性別役割をめぐり、厳しい現実がある。憲法は、動かない岩のように見えるかもしれないが、ここでは、夜間中学と地域の読書会の二つの実践を通して、「国民」と性別役割をめぐる憲法理解を更新するにはどうしたらいいのか、その回路を探ってみたい。
