概要：平岡市長は、世界をめぐって原爆の悲惨さを訴えてきたが、日本の戦争に対する無反省について指摘されることが多かったと語った。かつての植民地やアジアの国々に及ぼした非人道的な行為は時効なく問われていることがわかった。彼は、95年の原爆記念式典ではじめて、日本の加害責任について言及した。　広島で多くの朝鮮人が被爆して、ほとんど日本政府の援助もなく帰国して、死亡したり、後遺症に苦しんだりしていた。自身も広島で被爆した一人の医師が、韓国人の健康状態を診ながら、広島で見聞きしたことを「自分史」に描くよう奨めた。韓国の男性は勇気をえて、体験を描きはじめるが、がんが悪化して筆をとることができなくなる。医師は、録音を頼りに「自分史」を書き上げる。しかし、完成直前に韓国の男性は息を引き取った。二人の国境を越えた交流が、原爆と植民地支配の関係を鮮やかに浮き彫りにした。
