概要：南米ベネズエラは、チャベス大統領のボリバル革命でつくりあげたコムーナを横につなぐ一種の社会主義の体制をとってきた。政権を支えてきたのは膨大な石油資源の国有化による国民への富の分配だった。しかし、マドゥロ政権に移行すると、アメリカは経済制裁でハイパーインフレを常態化させ、諜報工作で国内の分断をはかり、マドゥロ独裁vsマチャド反体制という構図をこと上げし、事実上のクーデタを起こした。そして今度はキューバの共産党体制を打倒しようとしている。ここには、分断・統治という植民地主義の典型的な手法が見え隠れする。トランプの野望は、南米だけにとどまらず、西半球の盟主になることであり、グリーンランド買収など新たな火種をつくり、イランの核開発に対する大規模攻撃まで公言している。このシラバスを書くうちにも、トランプ関税に対し米連邦最高裁の違憲判決があり、エプスタイン・スキャンダルの噴出があり、トランプが暴走するなか世界は混迷の度を深めている。
