◆第5回 光州からミャンマーを考える

概要：2021年の軍部クーデター以降、ミャンマーではすでに5年にわたり軍事政権と内戦状態が続いている。2025年末から2026年初めにかけて軍政主導で実施された総選挙では、軍部を支持する政党が圧倒的な勝利を収めたが、主要野党の参加が禁じられた中で行われた選挙であり、国際社会からは「正当性を欠く選挙」との批判が出ている。それでもミャンマー各地では、民主化を求める市民や少数民族勢力の抵抗と連帯が続いている。韓国ではミャンマーの民主化運動がしばしば光州民主化運動と比較されてきた。光州民主化運動46周年を迎える今、私たちはミャンマーとどのように連帯できるのだろうか。タイ国境地域のミャンマー支援施設で直接出会った活動家たちとの交流経験も交えながら、ミャンマーの現状と国際連帯の可能性について考える。
