概要：「パプアは神様が地球上にポトンと落とした地上の楽園」とよく言われます。豊かな自然環境が今も残っているのは、人間らしいパプア先住民族の生き方、暮らし方のおかげなのではないか。近代化のなかで遅れている、劣っていると言われ続けたパプアが、気候変動や国家・民族対立のなかで悲鳴をあげる地球と人類を救うヒントを提示しているのではないかと考えてみましょう。
