◆第4回 石原吉郎が見た戦後日本

講師：石川 巧（立教大学教授）
概要：石原吉郎がシベリア抑留体験をもとに書いた『望郷と海』（筑摩書房、1972年12月）には、「故国」に裏切られ、自らがこの世界に存在することの根拠を見失った人間の苦悩が多層的に表現されている。そこには人間として「堕落」しなければ生き残れない残酷な状況と、命からがら帰ってきた石原の眼に映った戦後日本のいびつな光景が記されている。本講座では、『望郷と海』を精読することで、シベリア抑留体験という問題を〈石原吉郎における戦後日本への眼差し〉という角度から考察する。
